Crystal Palace vs Fulham match preview

Palace won last time out after back to back losses and Fulham have now won 2 of their last 3 games. When these two played earlier in the season it ended 2-1 to palace with 4 corners for each team, 1 Palace yellow card and 1 Fulham red card. Both teams are very up and down in terms of goals, Fulham have failed to score in 7 of their last 15 games and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games. Palace have failed to score in 2 of their last 3 games. So the inconsistency shown by both teams makes us think that goals are worth avoiding. The same could be said about corners and cards. Palace have had 1 or no corners in 4 of their last 7 games and Palace have also finished with no cards in 4 of their last 7 games. Fulham are more consistent than Palace with their bookings and cards but they are not a strong enough bet that you can back any of the options with real confidence in a game like this. We feel this is the type of game it is worth avoiding and there are better bets to be had elsewhere today

Leicester vs Arsenal match preview

Leicester have won 6 of their last 9 games and play an Arsenal side who have lost 3 of their last 4 games. When they played earlier in the year it ended 1-0 to Leicester with 9 Arsenal corners, 3 Leicester corners, 3 Arsenal yellow cards and 5 Leicester yellow cards. Arsenal have struggled in front of goal lately and have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 games. Even with Arsenal struggling to score in some games they have still shown that they can score goals as they did when they put 3 past Newcastle and Southampton, then 4 past Leeds and West Brom. Whilst they will face a tougher task to score today against a Leicester defence that has kept 4 clean sheets in their last 8 games, they have enough attacking talent to find at least a goal. Leicester have scored in 11 of their last 12 games and they scored 2 or more goals in 8 of those games. So both teams to score looks a good bet and it’s likely the game could see at least 3 goals. If playing corners we believe total match corners is the way to go rather than a bet that requires both teams to have a certain number of corners. Leicester have failed to have 3 corners in 4 of their last 8 games, but then they have had 8 corners in their last game and 11 corners recently in a game against Everton. Despite Arsenal having only 1 corner in their last game it is worth remembering that was against Man City and its very common to see sides not get any corners against City due to having to play for large portions of the game without possession or territory. There is a good chance the game could be pushing towards a double digit corner count, especially if the right Leicester side shows up. Arsenals opponents have had 2 or more cards in all of their last 5 games, and Arsenal themselves have been given 2 or more cards in 3 of their last 4 games. Leicester opponents have been given 2 or more cards in 6 of their last 8 games and Leicester have been given at least 1 card in 14 of their last 15 games. So any bet based around 2/3 goals in the game, 8 or more corners, both teams to get a player carded or the game to have 3 or more cards look good bets.

Spurs vs Burnley match preview

Spurs have lost 5 of their last 6 whilst Burnley are unbeaten in their last 4, drawing 3 and winning 1. When they met earlier in the season was won 1-0 by Spurs with 4 Burnley corners, 5 Spurs corners and 2 Burnley yellows. Goals and the match result look very risky bets whatever way you side. Burnley are a very stubborn side at the best of times but against a Spurs team who have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 they will fancy their chances of keeping it tight and creating what could be quite a boring game. Spurs have had just 2 corners or less in 4 of their last 6 games and Burnley have had 2 or less corners in 4 of their last 8 games. So it doesn’t look like you could back corners with any real confidence. Recent Spurs games have seen a very high number of yellow cards. Spurs opponents have been given 27 yellow cards in their last 12 games (an average of 2.45 yellow cards per game) and Spurs themselves have been given 6 yellow cards in their last 2 games. Burnley have been given at least 1 card in 14 of their last 15 games. The only risk on bookings is that Burnley’s opponents have ended up with no cards in 4 of their last 7 games. With the type of game this promises to be we do think cards is the only possible bet. We believe Burnley will frustrate Spurs, slow the game down and then look to pinch a goal on the counter attack or from a set piece. We believe the game is likely to see at least 2 or 3 cards though as that is the only angle for this game and there are some doubts attached to the stats and the question of how this game will play out, we feel this may be a game to avoid betting on.

Chelsea vs Man United match preview

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 6 and have won 4 of those, Man United have won 2 and drawn 3 of their last 5. When the sides met earlier in the season it ended 0-0 with 9 Man United corners, 6 Chelsea corners, 3 Man United yellow cards and 1 Chelsea yellow card. Man United have scored 16 goals in their last 4 games, and although 9 of those were scored against Southampton they have put 3 past Everton and Newcastle. They will need to be at their goal scoring best against a Chelsea side who have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 6 games. Chelsea have scored in all of their last 5 and they scored 2 goals in 3 of those games. So with both teams goal scoring form it looks likely that both teams should score and the game will see at least 3 goals. Chelsea have had 87 corners in their last 11 games (an average of 7.90 corners per game) and Man United have had 43 corners in their last 7 games (an average of 6.14 corners per game) so it looks likely that both teams should see at least 3 or 4 corners and the game should hit double figures. Bookings looks risky as Chelsea have finished with no yellow cards in 3 of their last 5 games. Though with the type of game this promises to be we do feel there is a very good chance the game will see at least 2 cards, just the stats don’t suggest it is a smart idea to push the bookings line too high. Any bet based around goals and corners looks a smart bet, and whilst bookings is not a lost cause we do believe that carries more risk than the other options.

Sheffield United vs Liverpool match preview

Sheffield United have lost their last 3 and Liverpool have lost their last 4. When the two sides met earlier in the season Liverpool won 2-1 with 7 Liverpool corners, 3 Sheffield United corners and 3 Sheffield United yellow cards. Two sides who will both be bitterly disappointed with where they are this season compared to last. Sheffield United have just never got going and even though they won 3 games relatively recently, the fact it took them 18 games to register their first win of the season has left them with little to no hope of staying in the top flight for another season. Liverpool season hit a new low in their last game as they lost at home in the Merseyside Derby to Everton. There is clearly a huge gulf in class between the two sides but the issue is with both sides out of form you have to questions will Liverpool be able to simply outclass their rivals or will Sheffield United drag Liverpool down to their level. With all that being said this is a game that Liverpool should win and win well. We do believe there is massive potential in this game that Liverpool could blow Sheffield United away. With all that has happened at the club in recent weeks we feel this is Liverpool side who will pull together and snap this streak at some point and today’s game against opposition like Sheffield United is the perfect chance. Plus with Liverpool’s record of late you can get some generous odds on them to score 3, 4 or even 5 goals. If playing corners we feel the smartest way is to back total match corners rather than both teams to have a minimum number as Sheffield United have finished with 2 corners or less in 3 of their last 6 games. Sheffield United have been given 32 yellow cards in their last 13 games (an average of 2.46 yellow cards per game) and Liverpool have been given 19 yellow cards in their last 10 games (an average of 1.90 yellow cards per game) so it looks likely that both teams will have at least 1 player booked and the game will see at least 3 cards. So we believe it may be worth having a small play at bigger odds on a big Liverpool win, though with their recent record we feel a correct score bet on them to win 5-0 or something similar to that is too risky and we would recommend a bet on something like Liverpool to score 4 or more goals instead. Corners and cards are also both good bets where it may pay to back total match number of corners or bookings rather than both teams due to the fact that Liverpool will likely dominate possession and territory.
