Man City vs Wolves match preview

Man City have now won 14 in a row whilst Wolves have won 3,lost 1 and draw 1 of their last 5 games. Man City won 3-1 when they played earlier in the season with 4 Wolves corners, 6 Man City corners and 3 City yellow cards. City have taken things to a new level of late and look unstoppable as they charge toward another Premier League title. Wolves have found some good form lately but still look massively up against it. We feel goals will largely depend on if there is an early goal or not. If Wolves can frustrate Man City and keep it goalless then they can look to steal a goal on the counter. If Wolves concede early they will have no choice but to come out of their shell slightly and that could lead to a high number of goals. Corners always carries risk in Man City games as any corner bet is going to revolve around them. As they will control possession and territory for the majority of the game if you back corners you will be heavily reliant on them. Add this to Man City’s recent corner record where they got just 1 against Liverpool, 3 against Arsenal and 4 against Spurs and West Ham and we believe that is enough of a reason to leave corners alone. The last 6 Man City games have seen at least 1 booking for them and their opponents. Man City’s opponents have been given 2 or more cards in 13 of their last 15 games. Wolves got no cards in their last game but that was the first time in 19 games that they ended a game with no cards. Wolves opponents have been given at least 1 card in 16 of their last 17 games and they received 2 or more cards in 10 of those 17 games. So an early goal could set this up to be a high scoring entertaining game, but if there is no early goal it could become almost a game of chess and turn stagnant and slow. Corners looks risky though bookings look a good bet with it highly likely Wolves will get a couple of cards and the game should see at least 3.
